TradeReview vs
Tradervue

The short answer

Tradervue is the oldest journal in the category and still the deepest on classic reporting — MFE/MAE, exit analysis, 100+ report cuts. It is also the most expensive: $29.95/mo to get past the free trade cap, $49.95/mo for the full report set, with no native mobile app and no AI. TradeReview costs $9.90–$19.90/mo, runs on iOS and Android, and puts AI Chat on every plan including Free.

Pick by what you are paying for

You want to review on your phone

TradeReview ships native iOS and Android apps. Tradervue is a web app — mobile means a browser tab that was not designed for one.

TradeReview

$30–$50 a month is more than the habit is worth to you

Tradervue's cheapest unlimited plan costs more than TradeReview's top tier. If the journal has to earn its subscription, start lower.

TradeReview

You review by report, not by session

100+ reports, MFE/MAE, exit analysis and liquidity cuts on Gold, plus a public sharing community running since 2011. Nothing here matches that report depth.

The four differences worth reading about

Where Tradervue wins

Does TradeReview match Tradervue's reporting?

Not on raw report count. Tradervue markets 100+ reports and has had fifteen years to refine them: MFE/MAE, time-of-day and day-of-week cuts, R-multiple distributions, and on Gold, exit analysis, liquidity and commission reporting.

TradeReview covers the core cuts — day and time, tags, symbols, strategies, cohorts — and then spends its effort on the loop around them: Review Sessions that walk unreviewed trades, a Discipline score, and Strategies with checkable rules. If you already know which report you open first every morning, Tradervue has more of them.

The clearest split

Does Tradervue have a mobile app?

No. Tradervue is a web application; reviewing from a phone means a browser on a layout built for a desktop.

TradeReview ships native iOS and Android apps with the same journal, Review Sessions and Discipline widget as the web app. If your review actually happens on the train home rather than at a desk, this row decides the page.

How do the free plans differ?

Tradervue's free plan exists but is capped by trades per month and thin on analysis — a way to see the interface, not a way to journal a full month of active trading. Current reviews quote the cap as 30 or 100 trades depending on the page.

TradeReview Free takes no card, has no trade cap, and lets you log every market by hand with Review Sessions and up to three strategies. CSV import starts on Basic at $9.90/mo; Auto Sync is Pro. The honest framing: their free tier ends, ours is a place you can stay.

Their feature, not ours

What about the sharing community?

Tradervue lets you publish an individual trade — chart, tags, notes, and on Gold the P&L — for public comment. Fifteen years of that has built a community most journals do not have.

TradeReview is private by default and has no public feed. If posting setups for feedback is part of how you improve, that is a genuine reason to pay Tradervue's price — and worth saying plainly on our own comparison page.
